Just got this installed. Thanks to Mr.Marv for the custom box...the build quality and fit are top notch! Haven't really had a chance to let loose on the sub, want to let it break in. Install turned out pretty clean.

Good deal! Did he do the install, or just the box? Looks great though man! I spoke to him for like an hour the other day. He really knows his stuff. Great guy IMO, and very VERY knoweldgable! How do you like the JL?

Thanks. I currently have the alpine cda-9887 but i'm about to upgrade to the pioneer avh-4200 (can't wait). Up front I have alpine 6x9 type s and rear alpine 6.5 type s. Have boston acoustic tweeters in the doors that sound really good. Alpine 600.1 pushing the sub and alpine 4.150 pushing the door speakers.

I used a primer first cause the wood just soaks it up. Then I used the rustoleum stone stuff. It matches the interior and gives it a textured look.

yes there is plenty of room for the sub to function. I can actually put the seat all the way down, couldn't do that with the 2 10s i had back there before.

next time you should fill the screw holes with bondo before painting it. It'd look alot cleaner IMHO

    How's it sound?
