U.S. MIlitary Sleeping Bags - Various Conditions

Hey All

We just got back this evening from the 24 hour round trip to Ohio to pickup about 150 Modular Sleep Set (MSS) sleeping bag from the Government National Warehouse...It looks like we got 50+ new MSS sleep sets (I only list 25 on the opening post of this conversation - the others we listed on E-bay - I hate to over estimate my inventory to be sure everyone has an opportunity to acquire one), we also got 15+ Brand New Extreme Cold Weather (ECW) Sleep Sets (See attached pictures) that come with a specially designed stuff sack...If anyone is interested in the ECWs...These are not those older style ECW that were made of canvas and were filled with down (That weighed in the upwards of 15+ pounds), that were useless when they got wet. These are rated at -20 degrees. These ECWs were made by a company named ISRATEX, INC...I have not been able to find too much information about them or the manufacturers specifications, but the sleep sets are really well made.

 

Can o see a picture of the MSS sleep sets? I have a couple ECW mummy bags from when my dad was in the service. I’m not sure which ones I’d like to replace them with

As a side note, it looks like I have some of the new\unissued sleep sets that are oversized (Not XL, but out of spec). It looks like from my measurements we can fit people that are 6' 3", 275 pounds with no problem...as I have about 50 + of the New\Unissued it is hard to tell how many of them will fit this sizing requirements...but, I would say I have at least 5++ at this point. As I dig deeper into them I'll let you know...

They are great setups for camping in any weather conditions...all 4 seasons. Now is a great time to get the Unissued sleep sets as I have a bunch of them and they are all perfect...It varies for me, sometimes we get a bunch (like now), but most of the time I only see a couple per auction...they are moving fast...

They were still working on making dirt when he was in.

We still have some nice condition military sleep sets...In Unissued, Excellent and Obviously Used (See explanations of conditions on the first posting of this thread)...I have a number of these sleep sets that are out of spec, which will fit the larger of you guys (Not XL)...this includes up to 6' 3" and 275 pounds in all conditions...These go fast in the unissued...

Hey man have any new bivys you would separate ?

 

Unfortunately, I only have enough Bivy Covers to make up the sleep sets at this time. The bivy seems to be the hardest item to come by in the auctions and they are going for crazy amounts of money (Like in the $55+ range sight unseen)...
