It's great to see all the axis deer running out there and driving near the river, even though you can walk across it most of the time..

All the deer are great out here but it definitley makes you be more careful when youre driving out here. They can tear your truck up in a hurry!

I used to drive a gen 1 for work a 4cyl with a work camper on it, hell it couldn't get out of it's own way but one day coming back from the ranch I had to stop as there was about 50+ axis running from the river on my left then they took a hard right and went straight up the hillside just in front of the tacoma. It was the oddest and coolest thing I ever saw...

Yeah to say theyre all over the place is an understatement. Every once in a while i hit one and its just the inevitable.. from what ive heard theyre not even native to this area. Originally ive heard theyre from india. The white tails used to also be larger in this area but after the axis came in theyve been competing for food which has made them smaller. Where was this ranch at you speak of?

Rio Ranchito, there used to be a sign on the left off 27 (?) past the big main ranch up there. The name is slipping my memory at the moment, YO Ranch?
