    No bait. Serious. Easter eggers is the common name. Eggs come out shades of blue and green. Others are any shade of tan, beige, or dark brown

    Edit. Not my photo, but I have the bottom, black copper maran hens and get very dark eggs.

    That’s really cool to learn, while we live in relatively suburban/rural area we’ve always been pretty close to urban/suburban. We buy local in our area and support local growers/farmers - and we get awesome seasonal produce. Meat is locally sourced. Even with that our eggs have always been white or brown... 48 years old and have never seen anything else. Now I want green eggs and ham.

    Having grown up being fed the standard farm white eggs, I always doubted that the "homegrown" eggs where any better. My mind was blown when i first tried a "fresh" egg. I now only eat the eggs from my neighbor's chickens. So, so much better!! #cityboy :anonymous:
