    Called groove to get the seal that goes in the spindle to keep dust out of the hub. I gave them the correct part number but was told that it had been replaced by a new part number. New part number fits on the cv axle itself not in the spindle...... is it that hard to give the customer what they want?

    That is not even a thing. There should be seals on both sides, the knuckle and the cv axle.

    My guess, counter guys need to be more responsive to differences in terminology. Your truck doesn't have a spindle technically.
