    The scanner I barrowed is not showing anything with fuel trims, the only thing that has to do with fuel is shing when the circuit is open and closed. Maybe it because I don't know what I'm doing but do you have any suggestions on figuring out fuel trims?

    @AK1stGen
    I just called my Toyota parts guy to get a part# for the ignition control module (I thought about buying one off Amazon for a spare)...he told me our 3.4L only has 3 coils + PCM + crank & cam sensors, with the PCM being the controlling part...called the "Wasted spark ignition system".

    Take that for what its worth, but you might want to verify the part before ordering the amazon item. I'm interested in what you find out.

    Just to be curious I ask the pcm price...the PCM part#8966604021, $882.84 :eek:

    Your part number is wrong. Does come up. The ECM/PCM 89661-04021 Is the main computer. The v6 does have an igniter. Toyota Part No.: 89621-35020 is the current part number used.

    Good info, this isn't the 1st time the toyota parts guy told me wrong...I can usually do better googling parts. The guy I trust, Gary, is off today...so I got a newbie on the phone. Thanks for clearing it up. Do you have any pics of this part in the engine bay?

    Does part# 89621-35020 replace # 89621-07010 ?

    LT FTRM1 - 12.5%
    ST FTRM1 - -0.8%
    This at idle

    I can't make sense of any of these numbers but hopefully someone can.
