What have y'all done to reinforce the coil buckets other than the total chaos type of of gussets don't want to spend 100$ when I have the steel

Whoa, I wonder if that has anything to do with Icons top hat design.

    enough to go over stuff
It does. You can out a toytec lift spacer on the top of the bucket to prevent this with icons. After the fact its kinda f'd

These are Icons? I have Icons and don't look like that. Those top hats looked flipped to start with so wouldn't blame Icon here

This looks like user error to me and those coil buckets need to be completely replaced before installing new shocks and gussets

Looks like a hard bottom out. Are your bump stops working/spaced correctly?

    Make your own secondary mount.

Agreed on this, It looks to me the top hat is already deformed and likely in process of failure. It mind boggles me that for LT Icon has this same design when MT guys have broken the top hats as it is from crawling and stuff. For those who don't know...search "icon top hat failure."

You crack me up, I would like to see how you could install the top hat pieces in any other fashion then intended orientation without having to alter pieces. I highly doubt that anyone has had to install their own top hats on coilovers...but maybe icon makes you guys go through the ringer?

The lt kit comes with the top hat that you have to install.

These is clearly an issue of bumps not being proper, no bypass, and off-roading too hard

No shit, well im glad that I got kings then. What is the reason for them to make it where you have to install the top hat on the coilover? Most other coilovers seem to be straight drop in for LT apps.

Edit* Didn't see that the LT kit requires its own dedicated top hat.

I'm not sure. I know he said he is using foa so I'm sure that the top hat came from the lt manufacturer. Either way you have to properly cycle

Yea that is true, that's where I have the luck of having TC up front. They have a spacer to extend out the front bumps as they don't recommend running any hydros up front.

If you hit it hard enough you will do the same thing...rubber bumps smash all the way down. A bypass would help a ton

Yep that's the plan before doing any flying in the truck along with more reinforcement with a coil bucket/engine cross member. I def don't want to toast my stuff without being fully prepared.
