Anyone going to the Baja 1000 this year?

I'm supposed to be going to help out in the pit for one of the race teams.

    Yes
electrical in ground is 3/4" minimum so you can easily fit a lot more wire

Its actually a 3 wire system and they ran it as a hot, neutral, ground system. I am going to take the ground from up top and use it as the other leg and add a new ground rod to feed the sub-panel, and add a another bus for separate ground and neutral bars.
And I cant really fish tape it, the run is over 150' long and has a few corners, however it is 1.5" conduit.
Hopefully I should be able to wire it up to work.

Yes it would for sure! I hope to have the electrical figured out but for some reason the 1" water main that runs to the shop flows like a clogged straw! Probably going to need to run a new line since I have no idea why this one flows so bad. I may just try cutting it at the last elbow and see if something is stuck in it and I can blow it out! Probably not knowing my luck, haha.

I have 240v!! Converted the ground to hot, and adding a grounding rod for a separate ground at the sub-panel. Stoked!

    What's new everyone?

Has anyone replaced the bushing for the upper steerin shaft joint? I have found the origin to my steering wheel play and I'm thinking it needs replacement.

Yes, but the zip tie I used was not very big. It has progressively gotten worse and I don't think that trick will do me any justice. Ill tear it apart and see what I find.

I saw on ttora some people were tacking the two shafts together to eliminate play, but in the event of a crash the racks would give and allow the steering shafts to telescope into each other. It’s on my list of things to do.

Yeah, I did some reading last night. Just need to get under there and see what I can do. Honestly, I'm not a huge fan of any of the fixes I have seen. It the TSB shaft is like $200 so that's out.

Do a small tac weld. Just not big enough for it not to telescope if necessary in a collision.
Or even some wood glue, it sets hard enough to stop play but weak enough to crack when needed.
