Cut & broke off stuff. Prolific ziptie and tape usage.
    ok animal experts:

A couple months ago, just after sunset, I saw a large feline like animal in my back yard. It was about 60 yards away, in shadows, but it looked like it
    a) was gray with darker spots (maybe evening shadows just made it look that way?)
    b) had pointed, tufted ears (like an owl's face looking at you almost)
    c) had massively thick front legs and paws. As big or bigger than my forearm and fists.
    d) had a long thick tail with a blunt rounded tip.
    e) shoulders/back looked to be in the 2-3 foot tall range when it walked. Long body and tail.

So, that's basically, head of a bobcat, body of a mountain lion.
    Is it even plausible? Ideas?
    :help:

There have been noticeably fewer small game animals in the yard these last few months too. (opossums, raccoons, etc.) So I do think there is a predator out there.

I've had a game camera out there since late August. I have seen fox, deer, coyote, 1 large raccoon, and a small unknown (walking away from camera) but nothing that looks like what I saw before.

This pic was dark but when I brightened it, there is something there. Short tail, white tip. Is that a bobcat? Still not what I originally saw due to the short tail but it would confirm big cats around.

When I lived across the river in Ohio, without any doubt in my mind, I watched a 2-3' tall large black cat walk behind an oak tree and disappear.

Yes, what you saw is 100% plausible and possible. They exist. You confirmed it by noticing the small furries being scarce.

Very much possible. Will be very hard to know for sure without good pics.

    Bobcats are common. Very common

Mountain lion/cougar/puma/panther is all the same animal. Just called differently regionally. They are becoming common in middle TN as well. Three confirmed sightings with photo/vid evidence this year. Wouldn't surprise me if they had made it back to Memphis already.

Then you have all the exotic breeds that people thing will be cool to own, so they buy them. Then they realize it's a lot of work owning a giant pussy that can eat your face off. Then they release them.

Google "savannah cat". It's a serval bred with a domestic.

Anyway, big cats are cool. Also creepy as fuck. Get me some pics.
