I was looking all over for a place that sells HK’s around here, I went to Gander Mountain, Dunn’s sporting goods, Bucheitts, etc etc. plus several privately owned gun shops...nada. It turns out there’s this old guy that runs a Mom and pop gun shop, that’s an authorized HK dealer, 5 miles from my work.

This guy has a really small store, but his display case was loaded with top notch hand guns (not just H&K). He has an outbuilding with thousands of used guns in it, that he doesn’t even display. If you ask he’s proabbly got it. I was pretty pumped when I found this place.

I want guns to shoot, and as collectibles/good resale value. I will always be able to sell a Mark 23 for damn near the price I buy it for, same with my Benelli M4. I had a guy offer me $2k for my Benelli just a month or so ago.

NOW you got me jealous. 2 buddies bought Benelli M4s back when they came onto the market, I simply did not have the scratch for one.

I think it's the nicest shotgun I've ever shot.

In the spirit of one-upsmanship, however - I do own a pristine IMI Model A import Uzi... :p

There was this old dude's shop I used to go to when I lived in Albany, OR - he was fantastic!

LOW prices, he could fix anything, I loved going there. The small shops really are the best.

Glock guy as well, 30 and 36 currently.
    Got into the 10mm for a bit with a 20 and 40mos.
Sold both to some young ladies out west. 1 hunts with the 40mos and the other uses her 20 for a pack gun.

I've sold several rifles and pistols thru TW.
Probably one of my fav was this "Operator".
Personally, I find 1911's useless for carry but very fun to shoot. I have my grandfather's late 60s colt
1911a1 that my uncle gave him after he returned from a pow camp in Germany after being shot down over zeeland, Holland on the opening day of "Operation market garden".

If I didn’t have so much other shit I want to buy right now, and a new truck payment, I would seriously make you an offer on one of those Tavors you have for sale, you have some bad ass guns my friend.

Yeah, that’s pretty damn sweet right there. Guns are so damn addicting.

I feel the exact same way about 1911's.

I picked up a Springfield Mil-spec as a shooter, just to see if I liked 1911's at all. It's basic but fun as hell!

A buddy of mine hit some financial hard times and sold me his Dad's Colt 1911 "Black Army" pistol. No real collector's value as it's obvious it was rearsenaled a few times, but it's a real war horse with a lot of history behind it.

I'm guessing I won't get offered anything over $1200 for it at the gun show tomorrow. (The SAR18). I've decided to keep the X-95.

Im still trying to decide what handgun i want to pick up, the glock 17 that i had put in my hand was nice, but it also seemed like the grip was a little to wide for my hand. Definetly not a fan of the EAA witness, wayyyy to heavy for me to have any reasonable accuracy with it.

Just for fun, I want a Kel-Tech PMR 30, but they are stupid hard to find. I think they retail for around $400, but last time I was checking, I could only find people selling them on gunbroker and they were 500-600. I don’t think Kel-Tech made enough, or expected to sell as many as they did. Its supposed to be a bad ass plinking/target gun, it shoots .22 WMR and holds 30. :bananadance:

Here's my 1911a1. I made the leather holster in shop class in middle school. The serial # was removed and his USAF # was put on. His initials were engraved on the front of the hand stock (Benjamin Earl Brink) and some other misc engravings.
I remember my brother and I shooting it when we would visit for the summers. Couldn't have been more than 16 or 17 yrs old.20171013_223823.jpg 20171013_223848.jpg 20171013_223855.jpg 20171013_223915.jpg 20171013_223931.jpg

Glock does make single-stack pistols that might fit your hands better, have you tried any of those?

Hey man, at least I'M working here!

I got THREE Linux nodes built and on the network while I was sitting here gabbing.

More importantly, however, is that I caught my first episode of "Stan vs. Evil" on IFC. Gotta be the dumbest show I've ever seen - I love it!
