Too little too late for me. They say they build it for off-road yet don't fix shit that should be fixed. Cab mount chop, rear disks, exhaust crossover, front diff needle bearing, driveline vibes are issues that should not be around on later 2nd gens and for fucking sure should not have been brought over to a "complete redesign".

Yeah, and another rumor about a diesel. :bananadead:

If I have another, it'll be a first gen or one of the older ones with the rolled lip bed.

I loved my 2nd Gen. I took it everywhere. I agree there are aspects that should not have been carried over from 2nd to 3rd Gen. Unfortunately that is all about profit, and it is no coincidence the “reinforced” 3rd Gen frame will fit a second Gen. Toyota will only address things of that nature if it hits them in the wallet, i.e. if people stop buying them, and we know that won’t happen. Although it is frustrating that I have to go back through and do these myself, in the grand scheme of things, these trucks hold their value so well, it’s a small inconvenience. They might be addressed in the future, you never know.

If I had to put money on one of them it wound be hybrid. Diesel wound be nice but it's a lot of emission crap to find a home for, where as if hybrid was done smartly it wound have motors at each wheel leading to better ground clearance.

Back on topic.. I'm going to be working on a design for these hubcaps. I think it's how the Prius get such great gas mileage.. by holding the braking heat inside the wheels.

    They'll fit TRD OR wheels.

    $149/set of two.

I think if you click on "report" for each post that you wanted to get an alert to, the forum will learn what you like and start sending you emails.
