I drove a 2018 Tundra with the TSS when I was shopping for my Taco and as much as I hate driving aids/ nannies in a vehicle it did not cause me any problems driving. That is driving in NJ too which in itself is an adventure.

    What the actual fuck! :goingcrazy:

Well, salesman called yesterday and said my truck could be on the lot as early as next week. Not sure I believe this. Everything on here states nothing till at least November. Anyone else hearing any details about delivery dates. He could not email me a 2018 invoice, but quoted me 2017 MSRP as price?

I'm going to agree with everyone else and assume he's talking about a 2017 model. Toyota hasn't even publicly released the updates on the 2018 Tacoma outside of some data on a display board at the Texas State Fair. I talked to my dealership today to find out if there were any updates on my 2018 order and he said that the truck would be built in the US (based solely on the vin number starting with a 5), and is due to built on 11/20. With that being said he believes it will arrive here in Michigan towards the beginning of December.

He's on edge with this release as well since he has another guy interested that waiting to place an order until the pricing is released.

My order was placed last week and I won't receive a confirmation on the build date until next week. I ordered a TRD Sport with the manual and because it's not the usual build it could take longer. I'll know next week.

I have been working with this salesman since July. He called me on Wednesday to tell me he thinks my truck will be delivered next week. I asked what the 2018 MSRP was and he sent me this in an email.

Found this site while doing my research for this truck. Not alot of love for Pro on here, but i do like the options. Never liked the 4 to 6 inch lifts, so it fits me fine.

Yes, the Pro model needs a few more upgrades to separate it from a TRD Off Road model and to really make it a worthy off road rig. I think a front locker would be a step in the right direction. The new ZR2 has a front locker. Rubicons have a front locker. The off road model Hummers came with a front locker. G wagons come with a front locker. The Land Cruisers use to come with a front locker. Even my second car which was a Audi 4000CS Quattro had a electronic front locking differential (a friggin car). All the top off road rigs are available with a front locker but the Tacoma Pro is missing this feature. Slapping on a aluminum skid plate, adding some slightly better shocks, leather interior, an exhaust system that doesn't really add any power, etc. doesn't differentiate itself enough from the TRD OR model enough to be considered a "Pro" model. Just my 2 cents.

I'm sceptical. I think he's talking about a '17. Pricing isn't even up and my dealership is still taking deliveries of the '17.

I looked at 17's and drove them to get a feel for how each model felt compared to my 97. I like the OR DCSB M6 17's but kinda wished they had it in Cement.
Watching my stock dividends keep going up, I decided for sure to wait for the 18's to come out before I got serious about a purchase. The 97 is still running strong and I don't "need" a new truck, just ready for something new. Then they say Cement was going to be available for the 18's. Cool!

However, I've only ever seen one Cement Pro in person recently, and googled over them online, and really not sure I prefer it over the White. I need to see more Cement trucks up close and really take it in. I've seen many Cement 4Runners and it looks great on that platform, just not sure about the Taco platform.

I was just the Toyota, re-ordering a 2018 me and the manager was looking at the allocations they do have Cement ones available. During Camry training they just attended one of the questions was with lane keep assist. The factory Toyota rep said that it will not come on body on frame vehicles, like tundra , Sequoia and Tacoma. The steering assist uses an electronic steering box, versus a manual on the trucks and larger SUV.

Looks like you are right. Tundra has lane departure ALERT. Camry has alert with STEERING ASSIST.
So you will just get a visual and audio alert, but it won't take over and steer you back into the lane.
