Yeah it’s insane. My family got a deal on a 10 year old ~980 sq. foot, 2 bed 2 bath condo with a “garage” downstairs for 160k last year. Everything similar was 230k+.

I always loved the area, just had a hard time making ends meet there. MT pay rates with CA real estate values. Only good thing back then was when we moved to Houston area, the cost of living was about the same, so was more used to it (but pay rates are much better). As all things in life, it's all a trade-off. Still quite jealous when I see the pics of the area, miss that part of it alot.

    Here we go again!
Checking in from Billings. Installed my Rackbone rifle mount today. Now I’m off to eastern MT for some Antelope hunting. Have a great weekend!

i finally tried Cold Smoke before leaving MT. It was good but didn't really distinguish itself above others. Liked the brown from Ruby Valley Brew better. But now I know that there are others to try next trip.

    Speaking of next trip...

Any of you have property along a river and willing to let me walk through for fishing access someday?

The boot bandit is a pretty great beer, cold smoke has a cult following around here though.

The mountain Man is surprisingly smooth,a nice hint of caramel and coffee without the bitter aftertaste like many dark beers.

Pretty sure the guys at kettlehouse (cold smoke) went to GF to help those guys brew mountain man, and I agree it's quite tasty!

That wouldn't surprise me, A good friend of mine from Billings ( R.I.P. Wes :( ) introduced me to cold smoke before Mountain Man came out. I looked forward to visiting him since we couldn't get Cold Smoke in Great Falls at the time.

Did everyone get that wind yesterday? That was a good one. Started all kinds of new small fires around here. Mostly from slash piles that were still smoldering. And to think I was just about to take down the fire danger sign in my sig...
