He's learned a lot from Toby. It's neat how they do that. That's one reason I wanted to go ahead and get another one now.

The volunteer that found the new problem just sent me a picture of the issue. The new metal pressure sending unit installed by the plumber/pump guy is either leaking or the gray pvc main pipe it's screwed into is leaking. So, since the wife is off today we may take a ride out there and check it out. Depending on what's leaking dictates who's doing the work to fix it.

    Morning all.
Secondary battery in the truck won't stay charged. Have to figure out if theres sumtin draining it or it needs to be replaced.
That doesn't seem fair. You should have to wear Orange vests and bells, or arm the deer.

I don't use teflon with any pvc. I've found it stretches the threads. I only use pipe dope

Our guys can't use tape at all because of the risk of it getting in the system and sticking a valve or something. It's all Loctite 567, I believe.

We use both on metal pipe, but I don't on pvc. I think the guy that did the work is more of an electrician than a pump guy. I've learned the difference. My seasonal guy is a pump guy and he's really handy for our applications.

    Well shit
Was looking around well house for dryer vent elbows and heard well running but didn't hear it in cistern. Went up to outbuilding to get ladder while I was on the lookout for wasps. Forgot to check the ladder. Yellow jacket got me on cheek and I tried to haul ass but tripped over stack of tiles and fell on my elbow on concrete. I just payed there hiding from whatever stung me. Didn't think wife heard me crashing down with ladder but she did and she came running and face planted on the way. So she's soaking,I've iced down elbow, and we only have 2k gallons in a 3500 gallon cistern. I grabbed the float and have it propped up even though I have a pump protector just in case . Guess I don't need to worry about a vapor barrier in barn just yet.
