I used a parts store one. Haven't had an issue.

I know i read somewhere that only OEM actually fits though..but idk if i really believe that honestly. Never did the research myself so wouldn't stand by that claim in the slightest.

That's a good write-up if all you're going to do is pull the axles and let a machine shop do the press work for you. For anyone reading this, machine shops are notorious for screwing this job up. They've been known to score the axles when cutting off the parts and they've been known to press the parts on wrong.

Do yourself a favor and watch my video for this repair. Even if you decide you don't want to do the press work because you don't want to deal with it or you don't want to invest in the necessary tools, you will learn what's entailed with the press work so you can give precise instructions to the shop doing the work for you. Of all the repairs on 1st Gen Tacomas and 3rd Gen 4runners, this has got to be one of the top repairs mechanics and DIYers screw up. I have videos for ABS and Non-ABS rearends.

First crossbow, and later on, gun, all for deer.

Crossbows are wickedly accurate in comparison to compound bow.

Crossbow is much easier to learn, compared to compound. They are wickedly accurate.

Made a cargo platform for my camper shell to keep things organized while taking trips or for camping. Used 2 huge pallets I cut up from work and screws I had laying around. I’ll end up covering it with carpet later on. Pretty happy with the outcome.

I'm looking into getting some wheel spacers for my 99 and was wondering why most sites list 1.5" for my year. Are the studs longer on 95-00 than 01-04?

Thanks dude, spent a ton of money this summer on it lol. URD 7th, Kings, Icons, new tires and full set of Budbilt skids. I seriously need someone to hide my wallet from me.

It's been awhile, we should get together and wheel soon. How close to being done is your 4x4 conversion? Our group from Mojave last December is looking to do Death Valley this year

The front studs on my 03 was barely long enough for 1".
Back was a bit to long and wasn't long enough for 1.25.

Now I have the way longer ones but I'm about to put on spacers again so I'm either cutting them or getting the front ones for all the way around

    you can get .75, 1, 1.25 or 1.5. I wouldn't personally go over that.

The front studs on all tacomas are on the short side. Use extended thread lug nuts to hold on the spacers and you'll be fine.

The mounting surface of spacers is recessed to allow the wheel to mount so too long of studs and you can't use spacers.
