If mine doesn't get totaled out by my insurance I'll keep mine for awhile and buy a 3rd gen 2.7 around 2024. Mines a 2006 with 155k miles. If I bought a 3rd gen I'd still keep this one and not trade it in

Until they announce they are discontinuing the 2TR-FE/5spd/4x4 combo. Then I'm trading up to one and that will be my last Tacoma.

This will be my 2nd and last Tacoma. When this one bites the dust (145k n rollin nicely thank you) I'll go to something with a little more creature comforts. But it's been a great ride x2

My oldest boy turns 12 on Tuesday. I figure I have about four more years before I hand over the key to him.

Loving it so far. Went from the cat shriek of a supercharger to the spooling of a turbo

The same shit everyone else has.
For a long time if all goes right. Im not a fan of car payments. My truck is paid off next summer and I would like to not have a car payment for atleast 10 years after that....

The biggest factor I think will be when it starts to costs more to maintain than I feel its worth.

My 10 year old son has been driving this truck on the ranch going on 2 years now. I'm hoping we can fix it up when he is ready for his first truck.

I have had 3 Tacomas. I still have the first one, and it is a 1st Gen 4x4 extended cab with 260k miles. My second is the one in the avatar, and it was totaled just over a month ago. My newest is a 2011 DCSB 4X4.

I hope the newest one lasts as long as the oldest has up to this point. These little trucks are hard to beat for what they are.
