What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Does that mean you tried it? I've never seen a nyloc nut back out if anything.

 

I think the way the L-Bracket was bolted to the Prinsu cross bar with washers as spacers allowed for a small amount of play which contributed to the LOCK NUT and LOCK WASHER backing off over time. It didn't start doing it every 50 miles until threads got busted up.
This bracket does not move period.

 

That is crazy. I hope you're new bracket works.

Don't take this as rude but that nut doesn't look like a nyloc...

 

The ones on there now arent, just lock washers. The ones that came off were.

There are nylocs on the back side of the grade 8 mounting hardware however that you can't see.

 

Thanks! Lifted around 2.5” in the front and 2” in the back. Normally has a bit of a rake without the trailer. 285/70/17 ko2s

Yup, used some Turtle Wax Scratch & Swirl Remover, then polished & waxed (again as I just had it done a couple of weeks ago).

 

Got my cab rack all painted up. Gonna let it dry all afternoon then assemble it tonight

 

Installed my Tepui awning to my prinsu designs roof rack and installed my 2 overland bound member emblems on my truck.

 

Installed a homelink rear view mirror that was purchased from Bob and it is amazing. It is by far better than the stock flip mirror you get from Toyota.

 

My tires must of been really out of balance cause she's riding super smooth

Today I did the cab mount chop and beat the crap out of the pinch weld. Preparing for the move to 305/70’s from 285/75’s.

 

Did you make that shelf holding the fridge yourself? Just got my Tacoma 2 weeks ago and have been thinking about doing similar come spring.

Did my first mod though today, added weather tech window deflectors, very minor but definitely needed.

 

Replaced the primary air filter. Removed and cleaned the " non-removable" secondary air filter. Cleaned the MAF sensor and throttle body.

 

Got a base coat of POR-15 on my mobtown sliders today, the top coat will have to wait until tomorrow though.
