What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Replaced the primary air filter. Removed and cleaned the " non-removable" secondary air filter. Cleaned the MAF sensor and throttle body.

 

Got a base coat of POR-15 on my mobtown sliders today, the top coat will have to wait until tomorrow though.

 

Weld or bolt one??

 

I did make that little 'dog platform'...super easy. Some people have really taken it to the next level.

You didn't need the CMC with 285s?

 

oddly enough no. I think there was maybe very minor rubbing but nothing that ever concerned me

 

Just scored an OEM CompleteBED DIVIDER for $45cdn shipped, it has two small scratches on it...lol!

Hit 100k in my 2011

 

Goals I got 40k to go

 

Threw some shade on my tail lights today, not too much though the picyures make it look darker than it really is. Its 2 real coats and one very light dusting and about 7 coats of uv resistant bumper gloss (that I got for free from advance auto cause they were gonna defect it and throw it away)



The lights are brighter than what the picture shows too

Also took the 3rd brake light cover off and sanded the oxidation off and hit it with the clear coat too
Maybe I'll get the headlights done tomorrow

 

Installed a RAD Industries grill today -

 

Put in @Ellis Precision matte black shift knob, got it for $79 shipped. I think discount is still going until Nov. 1st.

 

I put a soft cover over the bed, got ot used for $100 bucks.

 

Which brand if you know and how do you like it? I need a bed cover and have been looking at several different brands.

Its a Truxedo brand. $100 bucks on craigslist. I love it so far, it down poured for 2 days straight the day after I installed it, and the bed was very dry, besides on corner I did not line up right (i fixed it today)

Installation was a breeze! It came with these metal squares you put in the rails and screw these metal plates to which you screw the cover rails on. It took me like 30 minutes to do it by myself with no instructions.

Only problem I foresee is the cover rolls back, and velcros to the rails. I feel like velcro can get gummed up easy, but the guy had this cover for many years and the velcro still works perfect so its doing its job.

I use an Xtang Trifecta on my truck when I dont have the Bestop on it. The Trifecta fits perfect. No leaks. Its a tri fold cover so theres no velcro to worry about.
