Just curious who's running a supercharger and how many miles you have on it...

Can you clarify what was rebuilt? The supercharger or the engine?

Installed at 5k, now at 30k.

He likely means rebuilding the supercharger.

Usually the snout is rebuilt along with changing of the oil. I'm quite sure he meant the blower and not the engine.

The supercharger was rebuilt, probably didnt need to, wasn't anything going bad on it at all, its just recommended that it be done every 100k miles... the engine is as tight as a drum, no signs of it slowing down whatsoever.

Just had my coupler good bad after 10k Miles; did you replace the coupler on yours? Did you go with spring style or polyurethane coupler?

The TRD with a 2.85 pulley and the URD Walbro 255 fuel pump and filter upgrade. I did the URD fuel pump upgrade after running the stock fuel pump with the supercharger for about 1k mi, better throttle response and afr numbers are better. Also like having the external fuel filter.

I've heard that if you have a serious off-road rig set up then you do not want a supercharger because at the low speeds a S/C will make the engine run too hot.

    True?

    ...too much shit to list.
    Define "serious off-roading rig."

The supercharger itself has a parasitic drain on the engine power as its belt driven. Just like a power steering pump, alternator, ac compressor, etc.

The supercharger itself had a vacuum based bypass valve that opens when the vehicle is not under boost and closes when in boost. This allows the engine to run basically like a NA vehicle when not under boost, but still with the parisitic drain on the crank pulley.

Lastly the supercharger utilized a water to air intercooler to cool the ambient air and supercharger housing. The heat exchanger for said intercooler is located in front of the engine radiator.

All this combined can raise operating temperature, but it's pretty pathetic. Mine has been consistently about 2 degrees hotter since supercharging, but only while towing my expo trailer. No temp difference in any other situation I've witnessed.

I have about 15-18k miles now since the install, no issues whatsoever.
