Poe chased a squirrel up a tree.

 

Passed his temperament and canine good citizen test today at the international shiloh shepherd dog club show in Caledonia state park in PA. The event runs tomorrow as well if anybody is in the Gettysburg area.

 

The wife is in Florida for 5 weeks, so this lucky guy gets to sleep in bed every night!

 

Simons usually sleeps in our king bed with us at home, but he got his own queen bed in the hotel room this weekend; for him and his toys.

 

Took Jake a little two-night camping trip. It was nice to be in a mostly distraction-free area where he could just roam around. Some young folks camped about 200 yards up the road let their three dogs roam over to our camp site three times; the first time was dog sniffing around my tent at about 2 am. I wasn't cool with that.

The second time was a sweet, blind female husky. She wandered over alone. Jake jumped out of the truck to go meet her. I quickly ran over to get a hold of Jake. The other dog seemed a little timid and unsure interacting with Jake. He's not aggressive, but does have some dominant tendencies and I wanted to make sure nothing happened.

The third time all three came over when we were packing up to leave. The blind female kept her distance, but the other two (another husky and a big black lab, both males) just invited themselves over. The lab, still intact, walked around investigating everything like he owned the place while the husky barked at me from about 20' away. I guess he didn't like the look I was throwing. I shut my truck before Jake could jump out. A scuffle would have been likely.

Tony thinks he can drive now that he's 21. Sorry buddy, not yet.

Not sure about the breeding of the one on the right, was he recently groomed, or is he normally that hairless??

Seriously, enjoy the bedtime delays, both dog and the boy, both can grow up quick. My puppy is 4 this year and the son is 26, seems like both were crawling at my feet just last year.

Boomer, right at 3 years ago. He was watching my wife get his toys, I think. He is a Labahoula (Lab & Catahoula mix). All muscle and energy full of tail wags, playin, and luvin.

 

Poe found out that she likes sprinklers and Zeus, my in-laws boxer, still doesn't trust them.
