What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

I never did when I had 285's and only 2.5" lift

 

You going to have the steering rack replaced? Or do you know what caused the problem? The tie rod boots on my truck are starting to show signs of a little fluid leak and im assuming its the seals in the steering rack from my research. Just curious whats going on with yours and why the boot is so shredded

Ive decided to install the courtesy lights in the doors. Anyone else do this? It projects this image onto the ground when you open the door.

 

I’ve thought it was a brilliant idea but I’d prefer just the light without logos and no one has ever answered my question about if the logo part can be removed keeping the assembly water tight-ish. Since you’ve handled them do you think it’s possible? It looks like there is one basic assembly and they just add a film of some sort to create the image.

Mineswell just get some plain LEDs at that point? Like some of the flush bolt mounting type.

 

Added Total Chaos Spindle gussets. Welding courtesy of @Bentrodder. Figured if I had to get them powder coated I might just get them coated with a color that semi matched the Kings.

 

I added them to my T4R looks ok..

 

Maybe they can custom make Deadpool lights.

Sorry I don’t have a good camera.

 

I used some all purpose cleaner and a pressure washer. The dirt that came out of this carpet looked like black coffee! It's spotless now. While I left it to dry I ordered a small roll with my eBay bucks to try out. Happened to be enough to cover both front floors and over the trans tunnel with a small piece left. Made a HUGE difference in quieting the engine noise which I got to enjoy while the carpet was out. I'll order some more to cover the rest of the floor and back wall later. I won't mind ripping the interior back out since I need things to keep me occupied. Wish I had taken a before pic of the carpet but my brain was focused on rip it out and clean it. At that point my hands were on autopilot. Black carpet is still an option.

 

They are not water tight. They have to be installed under the bottom edge of the door paneling. Yes there is a film image inside them. I would suppose with a high enough resolution printer you could install any image.

I honestly am not sure. I'm brining it to my mechanic tomorrow morning so I'm going to leave it with him for the day and hopefully have it resolved by the time I get it back tomorrow night. He's a friend and has been working on yotas for 25+ years so I typically defer to his judgement on these things.

 

Stripped the armor and sliders off yesterday and started prepping them for repaint. Started the process of painting it all today. The truck looks so much bigger without all that stuff bolted on.
