I don't think I'll be able to use this kit, my extended rear shock length comes out to 24.80". And the recommended appears to be 25" min.

 

That's where the new mid travel tension hanger comes in, works from otherwise stock to fully setup trucks.
This new hanger is the perfect first mod on a Tacoma, because it cleans up the twitchy stock ride. People spend thousands on shocks and springs to make it ride good but still hindered by the stock hangers.

 

I'm not quite following, will it work then with the shocks I have now?

YES! Finally someone offers a replacement for the stock elephant ears. I can't wait to see the details, especially if you are also offering a stock length tension shackle with a zero fitting and poly bushings.

 

Can we get some installed pictures please? I just got back from a 2 week road trip from Denver and Moab and before I left my passenger hanger was slightly bent and on the trip I landed on the driver's hard and bent it worse than the passenger. I'm running dakars with the additional leaf and extended 5100's. I'm happy with the ride, flex, weight carrying and ride height of my current set up, but the factory hangers are not up to the task and aren't going to last taking big hits. Have you thought about incorporating a triangulated crossmember like The one from Defined Engineering that I'm pretty sure is no longer available? Their website is still up, but no phone # or returned email.

 

Any idea on the release date?

 

May have been a shitty leaf but I snapped a brand new allpro expo this weekend. I think it was the length of the shackle. (5")

 

Has anyone used the expos with the 5" shackle?

Until I can hear from someone with the 5" shackle and allpro expos I'll be running the 4" shackle. Under compression and weight the leafs look stretched. Main leaf snapped from tension.

In no way trying to shit on your product @ARCHIVE. Just sharing my experience.

They compress to 3" at 1500lbs. Tundra sumo springs.

 

What am l doing wrong then. Shackle is set in the foremost position. Axle is able to uptravel 3.5 - 4".

 

He already has his "bumps" spaced down with hockey puck, I think he has done everything right. One thing to note is, the spring would have to go negative if he had stock bumps, just like the stock spring, even with stock hanger. With the Sumo springs, I doubt in unloaded condition, it would go very negative even with the shackle flip

It doesn't matter what spring over pack you have, the main leaf always goes the same negative amount between the manufacturers.

Yes he changed the hanger to flip, but he spaced his bumps to account for it
