i haven't heard any talk about the Oilers winning the Cup this year.

 

It's been bad locally ever since they locked up McDavid and Draisaitl. I mean I know a couple of guys here kid around about McJesus but there are people locally who seriously think on some level that the current Oilers are the second coming of the 80s Oil.

Also to be fair no one on here or in Toronto is planning a parade for this year. You can go back to this time last year and find quotes where I said the Leafs, at best, would claim spot #8 in the East last year. This year best guess is that the Leafs finish third in their division and win a round in the playoffs. The whole parade joke, it's simply the oldest joke in the book usually made by people who are mad that the Canadian media focuses on the Hockey market with by far the lions share of fans by numbers and money.

 

There was quite the celebration planned last season, I wonder how that worked out. Even a few dynasty folks here.

It's still so early in the season. I think the Oil are a way better team than what we've seen.

 

Those are great seats! Pretty jealous.

And on the upper 2 and 3 levels there were TONS of sens fans. Id say between 1/5 to 1/10 which is considerable

Its funny hearing the flames fans complaining about how 'boring' and 'defensive' the Ottawa game is, when they get demolished like that. Pretty good week for the sens!

 

I think Ottawa is looking forward to their next trip to Alberta.

 

Sad part about this schedule is that the next trip is next season

Yeah the cheap seats might of been different. Down low there were definatley Sens fans but no more than a group of 2-4 every dozen rows.

The Sens don't really have flashy players. They tend to play defensively and wait to strike when their opponent is frustrated. I'm personally not a fan of it but, hey, it clearly works for that team so whatever. From my angle Ottawa only let Calgary have 2-3 good scoring chances all game. I can understand why both the Flames and fans were frustrated.

In the Calgary game things were pretty even going into the second half but then Calgary totally lost there composure due to penalty frustration at the end of the second. Ottawa had a man open on every rush after that and Smith wasn't at his peak which lead the score to blow wide open.

 

I'd say thats pretty accurate, for once.

So I go to the Colorado game versus Anaheim Ducks on Friday the 13th, and it honestly looked like the Ducks were afraid to play.

 

Kings lead the league after W over NY Islanders.

 

5 games in LOL.

 

It's the best 5 games in - in franchise history. We're not talking parades yet but still.
