It's common with toyota lug nuts and many others overtime, especially after they've been taken off with an impact wrench often.

12 of my lug nuts do not fit into 21mm like they are used to.

Just got back from Big Bend NP, where we drove the Old Ore road, 25 miles, of scenic beauty and fun driving. This was the first ''off road'' trip with the Bilstein 5100s. Great time, the road was as rough as I have seen it. Nothing that the Tacoma couldn't readily handle. I feel like the ride with the 5100s was greatly improved, I did not get beat up! Much less cabin movement.

    Re: "lug nut swelling"
This can happen really easily when some bozo uses the wrong sized socket on his air tool and spins them before going.... oh, uh, I guess that I should change the socket. Sam's Club put new tires on my Tacoma... good thing I follow up with my lug wrench to retorque all lugs.... because I couldn't get my lug wrench on 11 of my lugs.... not without hammering the wrench onto the lug to get purchase. Glad I did not have to do that at night on some lonely road.... I travel lots of those in Nevada and Utah on my way to and from fishing spots. Sam's paid for new lug nuts. It isn't always corrosion, sometimes it is the dufus factor.

I have 2010 Toyota Tacoma with 225k miles original shocks. Drive on dirt rough roads daily for work bounces all over and traction light comes on. Didn’t want to replace if weren’t broken but after reading this I think it is worth it. I was planning on just going to garage and having them do it and put on whatever. Is it worth requesting a certain shock any thing else I should replace when doing the shocks for better ride. I do seem to put new ball joints on every single year when get inspected
