Stripped the armor and sliders off yesterday and started prepping them for repaint. Started the process of painting it all today. The truck looks so much bigger without all that stuff bolted on. IMAG0268.jpg IMAG0267.jpg

Inspired me to finally hit my third break light and kill that oxidation. May as well get after the headlights while I'm at it. Love the gloss on the tails! Previous owner had VHT on the tails and it was matte and not a good look.

I've been wondering if those center caps would fit the sport wheels, just painted mine and have been unsure about whether I want to paint the stock caps to match or get some black TRD caps.

Had a Lancer years back that flooded and I gutted it to dry and clean. Drove it around with just the dash and driver seat in and it was a fucking hellscape cacophony in that thing down back roads or gravel. If the sound deadening worked well for you I may end up doing it!

Got a good deal on this Snug top today. Picked it up this morning. Now there is less chance of people taking my stuff. I'll probably bedliner the whole truck and shell in the future.

Exercised the 4wd on some fire roads, did some exploring and leaf peeping.

Also a test run with the Energy Suspension radiator mounts. Nice and solid feel

    Window tint count?
Thanks gabbo. I love how it turned out. The 1.75 setting put my front just under a half in lower than the back which was my plan. I’m really lovin’ it

    Wait for it...
Once I put the carpet back in things progressed a little from there. Spent some time "making a bushing" for my shifter cable/shift lever connection to eliminate the play. Wired in some LED lights under the dash that I had laying around & tapped them into the dome light (I always remove that bulb). Also wired in a dual 12 volt USB port so the backseat riders can charge their phones (voltmeter option a plus for us gadget geeks) AND because the 2nd gens don't have one. @zh137dz the sound deadening surely made a difference. I'm gonna order another roll for the rear floor for a later install.

I have a 2014 with a tailgate delamination. See where the feet of the ribs are no longer glued to the sheet metal. Anyone know of a good fix?

Oh there will be some mods all right
Did some mild off-roading with sister. Got out of truck and scouted before letting her drive through. Deepest point was up to my knees. Wont make a habit of driving through water that deep but it was fun :)
