    Had a great weekend the past few days. I took Friday off from work to drive down to Ardbeg for a TW Meet. Ardbeg is in the Perry Sound area, so its about a 5-6 hour drive for me, but was well worth it. Got there around 4ish Friday where I was greeted and escorted into the camping area where we set up for the night. Getting in was a bit technical but nothing my stock set up couldn't handle. Almost took off the trailer hitch plug (long bed problems) which will soon get relocated into my bumper. Had some drinks and a good fire Friday night. Great view of the lake from the campsite. Took the South Trail down to the 124, started at about 10AM and finished up around 8PM. It was a long day but we all made it through with no damage which is always a bonus. The first half of the trail is pretty easy but as usual always need to be careful. Encountered one road block where the water was pretty deep, buddy in a 73 Dodge got some water in the cab haha so we made a little bypass. Stopped for lunch after the second bridge where a group of about 8 Jeeps came wheeling by and told us if we had stuck to the right side of the puddle we probably would have been good. The second half of the trail was way more interesting and technical, had to pick some good lines as to not bang up the underbelly, lots of water and rocks, its hard to explain really but it was a really great trail with a little bit of everything. I was running bone stock other then my BPF skid plate which I'm glad I had on cuz I banged it up pretty good. Definitely recommend skid plates on that trail hahaha Hit a good big mud puddle we had to hit head on which we learnt having 2 guys get stuck. I would love to do the trail again, but this time, I would like to run half the trail one day and the second half the next day. There's a nice camping spot on a lake right before the second bridge which is a good half way point. Instead of posting a bunch of pictures people took I will post links below to some pictures and videos.

    Things I learnt:

    -Relocate my trailer hitch harness
    -buy some damn skid plates hahaha
    -brake peddle gets damn spongy after that much wheeling

    pulling people out of course. I think in case really. There was lots of water and mud. Honestly I think only two rigs go stuck. The dodge on 35's and me....Someone had to be the guinea pig...

    Thanks dude :thumbsup: much appreciated! had a great time and that was certainly a fun first trail! hahaha That was indeed a lot of digging but it was worth the effort, also a heavy ass rock we had to move too! I'm sure there are some good ding marks under the truck haha I heard some good smashes but I don't think anything important was damaged haha that BPF Skid took the brunt of it haha its those hidden gems in the water that getchya the most haha if it wasn't raining all day here I would have crawled under the truck to investigate. did for sure get some pin striping. I rubbed the tree a little at the mud hole taking a wide left turn to make sure I got a good line before the drop

    @Kemosabe HAHA funny guy!

    no I actually didn't get stuck but @tacoma16 did teehee :boink:
    but since it was my first trail and stock I was going just a little slower with @NorilskSever behind me (sorry buddy) so if I did get stuck he would be the one pulling me out lol better to be ready!

    Sounds like a plan! Speaking of ARB, how do you like their RTT? I saw the smittybilt one for half the price and was wondering why you went with arb? I am not looking for one, only dreaming about haha

    I don't think I'm going to live this one down....
    I was in a pinch to get one for a trip. 4wp had the arb in stock. Was able to just pick it up instead of waiting for the smitty. 4wp has a god warranty, so which ever you get your laughing. I also figured ARB would be easier to get things from for their tent since its been around for so long.

    Arb has a great reputation of course! Don't know a thing about RTT but I think you did well by choosing arb
