as long as there's some trees around where we camp or someone with a bed rack can park close by and lend another anchor point haha.

After this weekend I've decided fuck the ground tent, going back to hammock camping. So much easier to pack up and no need to worry about how the ground is.
Going to anchor to my bed rack and a tree or two bed racks if someone lends a spot.

@Kemosabe and given how we kept slowing down in the front for the rest of the pack I can only imagine how harsh it was for some. But slow and steady and just getting spotters really helps.

Or just be like Eugene and give 0 fucks haha

    Think so.

Although I would say I don't think any of us are really ready for level 4 trails.
If I remember right from OF4 they're tough and have no bypasses at all.

Not sure what levels are. I'd just go by experience. I'm sure its a full trail system though if everything is that close together.

Always amused at the high fuel consumption when wheeling. I filled up at the Shell in Parry Sound before and after Ardbeg, at the same pump even. Used 31 L to drive 98 km. That works out to 32 L/100 km or 7 mpg.

    4 Difficult trail
These trails traverse very rugged terrain ( water crossings 24”+, large rocks to 15”+, deep mud, steep inclines and side hills to 30 deg ) low-range 4WD and higher than stock ground clearance is required. Aggressive tread and low air pressure are required. Traction Devices (Lockers or limited-slip) in the differentials (front and rear), lift and larger tires (33”+) are recommended. These trails require above average Off-Road driving skills. Multiple attempts to clear obstacles will be required. There will likely be paint damage and possible vehicle body and/or mechanical damage. Hi-lifts and winches recommended.

    Ardbeg south is a 3.

    3 Standard 4WD trail
Demanding trails on which 4WD is required. You will encounter a variety of more difficult challenges (loose rocks, large potholes, water crossing depth to 15”, steep inclines 15 deg and large rocks to 10”, 8” mud filled ruts) on these trails. Possible with stock 4WD vehicle, however, recommend traction device (limited slip or locker) in rear differential, aggressive tread and low air pressure. Higher than stock ground clearance is advisable. Low range gears used often. Moderate experience and driving skill advised. Possible paint and/or rocker-panel damage. Recovery gear recommended (Straps/ Hi-lift)

It would have to be a trail more so for the modified guys. Likely not stock friendly.

I like you guys attitude on trails! Around here it is mostly bunch of
Dudes buying shit boxes, jacking it on blocks, throwing 2000$ worth of mud terrain and jumping in the first mud hole they find! An be fun once or twice, in a rig that is not your haha rather going slow and crawling the trail and camp than destroying everything around, including the rig haha

    same and possibly the 3.

4s are a bit much. I wouldn't feel confident going on them. From what I've heard from others in OF4 that have done 4 is that they are extremely difficult for any IFS truck that isn't on 35s with a high clearance rear and aftermarket front bumper cause you need high approach angles.

I'm up for whatever. It'll probably be the last trail run of the year for me. Until some of us do the black lake loop in the spring next year.

I had no clue we were going to be doing the whole thing lmfao.

If we were to do it again although we now know its possible like when I was talking to @tacoma16 it would be much better to start from the south, camp at that spot we passed in the south on the lake. Then saturday do the rest and get to camp where we camped this weekend. Then just play around a little near the northern portion of the trail on the sunday or just take off in the AM.

As much as I enjoyed running the trail yesterday I personally think it was too much. was just so drained by the end. Would be better to split it up a little.
