Ah, gotchya. Wasn't sure if you still had the Volvo. Glad you're not getting any trouble! Them 40's having me constantly staring at my truck thinking, "The cab doesn't really need those mounts... Do I even need fenders?"

Where it got skinny with the drop off on the right did you take a left at that four way intersection to get up there? I'll never go up that one again in the snow. Girlfriend was with me one year and it got narrow and we decided to go back after the truck slid close to the edge. She got out of the truck.

Those are snowmobile tracks.. plenty wide enough...ehh

Gonna throw it out there that Bennett Pass wasn't as "good to go" as the snowmobiler told me.. and yes they were talking about me taking the truck. They must've wanted me to get stuck.

    This stretch was quite sketchy.

But I did make it through to NF-48. I don't think the snow was less than a foot deep the entire way, closer to two and wet mush towards the end.

Yeahhhhh I definitely wouldn't do it again, but I was far enough down that it was a long way to back up. I hiked down quite a bit but didn't hike this far down before I started.

But, I lived to share the pictures... This time.

There were three stretches that needed winching as well. And a few more narrow snow covered ledges without protection.

My experiences with snowmobilers hasn't been great. Don't think they like sharing the trail with us.

Exactly.. They were friendly, and I would think that they wouldn't want me on the trail at all and would've told me it was deep. They rode down most of the way and came back.

But since they said it was good I figured there was little snow or they'd tell me not to mess up their trail. :notsure:
