Lol! It can be a nasty task to gut a moose depending on shot placement. I’ve been on a hunt where the ponch was hit. Not a good odor!

Not at all. This one was a head shot, my stepfather (sub permitee) doesn't shoot if he can't drop it with one shot. After helping my uncle pull a 750 lb cow 200 yards out of the woods last year I think he's got a point. Luckily my older brother did the field dressing.

Well that's embarrassing. That's exactly where they are. Mom had to make a reservation as well. This time of year they are out straight.

Sabattus Deer Processing does moose as well, and takes walk-ins, if anybody gets lucky and then has trouble finding a cutter.

The moose hunt was un successful. The client had 2 opportunity’s at a 30+ inch bull and a 45+ One at 60yds the other at 100yds he choked on the 60 yard and never fired. Missed the other bull at 100yds. We spent 6 hours looking for any blood nothing found.

Worst part about getting skunked is they've got to wait 3 years for the chance to try again. Well, that and no moose meat.

He is from southern Maine, and relatively new to hunting. Not sure how long he’d been applying.

    This thread has been quiet...

You guys have power yet? How did everybody make out in the storm?

No power here yet and my road looks like a war zone...

Yep, honestly never missed it. Was out of town during storm, got back Monday evening with power. Not so lucky for most folks in my area.
