    Nope just go with the what ever you wish and can afford and leave it at that. Depending on who I get it might be pretty hard to find something for 20 bucks . No worries it is the gift not the amount spent so leave it where it is . Though if someone wants to gift me a .308 From Bravo Company or similar I won't be un happy :} LOL The .45-70 is a bit rough on the shoulder to get the youngins off the lawn :}

    :pccoffee: Good morning.

    I swear that I get more done at home than at the office. Have to interact with people there and somehow discussion always turns to things other than work. And people dropping in all the time. Although they do it remotely on Office Communicator but I can just ignore them on messenger LOL. Will take most of the day to catch up on emails and requests from being out last week.

    Frost on the truck again this morning. When I saw it my first thought was I should have set the defroster and heat to high and use the remote to clear it. Then realized I am not going any place for awhile. I can wait for the sun to melt it. It is supposed to get up to 55 here today.

    No mine is still the brass bead. Although the one I grew up with had the orange Ithaca Raybar front sight. The Raybar came out in 1955 and was the first fiber optic sight every made. It was so popular Ithaca sold them separate for $2 and dealers would change them out for free, a lot of people put them on the older guns. One of these days I will get mine replaced if I can find one although I have become used to the brass bead too. Ithaca Gun in Ohio sells them but they are red now, I want the original orange! I have some older target grade Ithaca 37's with white Ivory sights and they are real Ivory. Can't even get Ivory anymore. At least in the US.

    That is cause the 45-70 is AKA the 45-70 Government, to be expected from the Govt. A 20 ga. with a light powder charge and over shot card on the rock salt payload has almost no recoil. And is effective for the intended purpose. Just saying...

    Well then they whine and cry , kind of like the simmunitions, plastic or rubber ones though I must admit you want to clear a room with out blood a rubber ball grenade followed by a flash bang works really well. Take note to CLOSE THE DAMN DOOR when you toss the rubber ball grenade in if not you will learn to do so the hard way lol..
