I have searched the threads for my particular problem but came up empty. I have 08 and for the last couple of years I have been running tires/wheels with not TPMS sensors. The light is constantly on which does not bother me. The last couple of days I have noticed the light is out. I checked when I start the truck the TPMS light lights up with the rest of the dash lights and then goes out. I'm used to seeing the TPMS light flash a couple of times and then stays lit.
Does anyone have any ideas what my problem is, I am just curious or what I can check to determine what the problem is? Just want to me sure this is not the beginning of a bigger problem.
    Thanks everyone.

I think I remember seeing somewhere on here that the spare tire may have a sensor on it that would affect the system. I have no idea if that's true or not, just sayin'....

My spare does have a sensor, when it was low on air the sensor would come on. I am used to seeing the light constantly on. I have no problem with the light being off, just want to be sure this is not leading to another problem.

Many people would be envious of your situation. They’ve been trying to remove that TPMS light.

The light being out doesn't bother me. I am old school so I am always checking tire pressure. Just curious as to what would cause this.

Maybe there is a magical TPMS Light Fairy that makes our wishes come true, but you have to wait for a few years! :D

Let me know if you’ve figured how your TPMS light went out. I just replaced the tires on my moms highlander and since it’s been 10 years, the sensors needed to be changed. The shop wanted an extra $10 each, so I said hell no. They are useless. So I just had them put regular valves on and the TPMS light is now always on. I don’t really want to do the whole taking apart the dashboard.

I have the original wheels with sensors and tires mounted. I plan on putting them on just to see what happens.
I tried the reset button for the hell of it. The light blinked a couple of times which is normal and then stayed off.
This has me intrigued to try and find out what is happening.
