I was looking at Total Chaos bed stiffeners, but I think I like these better!

This group buy couldn't have come at a worse time!! I just 'invested' $600 into my motorcycle.. I don't need to spend anymore money this week! Maybe another time! hahaha

I have the Total Chaos variety and before install the gap at the top of my tailgate was nearing 1/4" or so and at the bottom more like 1/8". I ratchet strapped the bed to pull the bedsides back in and installed. I also enlarged the holes that bolt to the floor of the bed to bring them closer to center to pull the bedsides in. Now the gap is pretty much equal all the way around the tailgate. Yes they do work!!! I doubt it really matters what brand you use.

I should have looked at this write up before installing mine. The instructions that came with mine said to mount the bed stiffener with the "R" on it to the driver side. But looking at your pictures it looks like it should definitely be on the passenger side.

I tried reversing the brackets but the holes I drilled don't line up :(. Oh well

I was getting ready to install these on my 3rd gen. Here’s what I’ve found out so far. 1) the OEM D ring bolts are too short and need to be replaced with longer 7/16s. 2) There is a decent gap between stiffener and the bed.

Was there a gap in yours? Now I’m just paranoid.
