What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Changed the oil, greased all five zirks with lucus red'n'tacky, changed the front diff fluid, rear diff fluid, transfer case fluid, changed the cabin air filter and the normal air filter. All in all about 4 hours or so, but I went slow, double-checked everything etc.

 

Gave it a good clean up on Saturday, put my WeatherTech floor mats back in, then took the kids for a Sunday drive up the canyon and got it dirty again! Good weekend.

I finally removed the ugly bull bar that came on the truck when I purchased it and installed a 32" light bar behind the rear bumper.

Passed my HAM technician test on Saturday.

Then took an impromptu camping trip with a local 4wd group:

 

While preparing for the upcoming winter, I took another step in making everything Silver/Black. I know a lot of us hate the OEM mudflaps and this seemed like a great way to improve them a bit. I like the look and will likely clean them up a bit more again. This took all of 3 minutes.

Removed my secondary air filter (I've got a 4 cylinder so maybe i'll notice a difference)

Finally did the prevent tailgate theft mod:

Also, ordered an air pump Uni Filter clamp-on breather. Arriving Wednesday.

 

Removed the buzzer behind the gauge cluster. No more open door chime

Officially got Decked this weekend. Took about 3 hours and 2 beers. The Instructions are very thorough. Items of note: 1. I removed the doors from the bedside cubbies. Driver side cubby is partially usable still while passenger side is now rendered useless. 2. I removed the outlet cover completely in order to plug in a flat extension cord. 3. Trimmed 2.5" inches off of the factory short bed mat and turned it around, as to still have decent access to the "ammo cans."

Dropped in an Optima 27F yellow top as my battery died this weekend.

 

I'm debating removing my front flaps. I'm just wondering what that will do to my front fenders over the long run since a LOT of my driving is on gravel roads. Any thoughts?? Will it chew up the paint?
