Hey everyone. I want to start of by saying I'm sure this has been covered but I'm not finding an exact answer. Also I'm new to the truck scene so any help is greatly appreciated. I just recently purchased a 2017 Taco TRD Sport and am looking for a nice clean aggressive wheel. My search has led me to FN Wheels Five star. I would love to do the 16x8 et-25 version but I feel those won't fit so I'm stuck between 16x8 et0 and 17x8.5 et-6. My question is which do you guys recommend and what tire sizes for both options. The truck is oem lift and I don't plan on lifting it as I like how it sits. I won't be off roading too often and if I do it won't be anything crazy. Just mainly on regular streets. I want a nice aggressive stance without having to modify much. Thank you ahead of time guys. Looking forward to reading the responses.

For stock tires on stock suspension it matters little. Lower offset will push the tires out and vice versa.

265/70/16 and 265/65/17 are the same size tire for different rim size

Have you seen the SCS F5? Cheaper and community member owned! Lots of great reviews and results. Just a thought!

The more poke you have (negative offset and backspacing closer to 0"), the more risk you run of having to trim.

@eccracer104 has some great info here, too

i have the FN Six Shooters 17x8 et0 with 265/65-17 Cooper STMaxx tires. the stock size makes it super responsive and agile as well as accelerating better, and no fault in the speedo. but these particular tires are E range only which isn't for everyone, but i like them and will buy again. i much prefer these to the typical upsizing around here to 265/70-17. and the 0 offset looks and drives nice IMO.

Fuck that looks good! Exactly the look I'm going for. Clean yet aggressive. You have no lift? And I see you have the Pro. Are the suspesions the same? Meaning as far as to fit wheels?

stock Pro lift. no change to that. i do, however, have SPC UCA's for a custom alignment, a Hellwig rear sway bar, and Sumosprings. no added lift. the 265/65-17 tire choice keeps stock tire diameter so everything is in factory spec, and it drives amazing cus of that. and i've gone up 33% inclines with this setup so i'm not missing anything by not having 265/70's. and the handling is to die for and that's my thing.

Awesome man! Thanx for all the info. Might go with Falken Wildpeaks on the tires tho since they're a lil' more affordable and the only offroading I'll be doing is up my driveway lol.

yeah if that's the case the STMaxx tires may be a bit much for you. but FYI as long as we're on the topic, the E range tires are part of the handling package for me. the Pro suspension is very soft, too soft for me when combined with C or SL tires. i stiffened up the roll with the rear sway bar and Sumos, and stiffened up the steering response with the E tires because i like an extremely responsive ride and handling, more than most. if you go to SL or C tires things get a lot more soft and overly compliant, which is nice off road but not on road IMO.

Might be a dumb question but what are the Falkens? I'm not seeing that when I look at em.
