    For the most part, no. My last two were 4x's and I hardly ever used it, so this one was a conscious decision to stay 2x for mpg and maint. purposes. Only time I wanted 4x was a few years ago when my sister passed away and my son and I road tripped to MT to help my Dad clean out her place. Ran into some winter conditions that I wanted it some, and whenever my son was driving would have reduced some of my anxiety. :)
