Looks like you guys/gals lucked out on the weather. Got some sun instead of rain as was forecasted... Great Vids and pics you guys...!!

We had 1/2" snow this morning, but we're back into 20 deg for the weekend..!! Nice fall so far...

Sorry to read about all the damage to your rigs.... My little "punkin" would not have fared well, I'm sure... hehe!!

That trail looks interesting...I'll check it out next spring, when things dry out..!!:thumbsup:

@NorilskSever How does that trail compare to the lake loop difficulty wise? I get that it was a lot longer but was it more difficult?

I can't speak from experiencing black lake...but for what its worth black lake is rated as a 3+ on OF4 vs ardbeg south being a 3

Yeah, I'd expect that with all that flat bedrock everywhere... it will hold water and make mosquitos till you guys come along and mess it all up.. hehe

Ok, cool. Might have to make it a full weekend trip next year. It'd be fun to just do a few hours per day. 10hrs is a long day. lol

I dunno, my rating wise it was easier.
I haven't hit my hitch anywhere at all, while on a loop we heard it every 5 minutes.

I think we should try Minden soon and camp there.

Also I've heard Rays Place (Southwind Motel) has some great trails in Minden. It is free to any OF4 member and $10 for any non OF4 member

I agree. I doubt the loop is "easier" than the main trail. Personal experience is more reliable than numbers.

    that's true.
The rating system on OF4 is off at times. But the trail reports really help gauge them.

When we did minden hydro line it was tough. Even after doing the full south trail, think it was very similar to how Minden hydro is and its only rated as a 2.

The water in the Kawartha areas tends to be bad though which is what makes those trails so much harder.

On the topic of Minden was just checking on OF4, need to find out some more info. from the sounds of OFSC doesn't use it anymore so it might be open all year round.

I've never been to Minden before, but I'd love to make it out there if the trails are fun and it has camping spots.
