    Yeah, unfortunately, that seems to be the norm. I'm adding all kinds of mods. :-}

    Does the desire to do that come with the vehicle or is there some kind of subliminal
    suggestions incorporated in the vehicle systems to compel you to mod? Hmmmm......Hahahaha!!

    I've used this website to learn how to pull off all my mods and can't thank everyone enough. I added a pro grill and switched out the chrome bumper caps with black ones. For the suspension I went with Bilstein 6112/5160's set at 5/6. I also added the wheelers AAL and removed the overload spring. I couldn't be happier!!

    If someone could direct me to the thread that might answer my question please?

    Has anyone replaced their stock exhaust with a Borla system or at least just the muffler?
    How does it sound if you did?

    I replaced my stock exhaust on my 2nd Gen with a Borla muffler, but that's a 4.0 vs a 3.5 for the 16+ . It sounded ok, but after having it for a while, it grew annoying. IMO, staying with stock exhaust was a better choice for me. For engines with at least 8 cylinders, consider exhaust, but for our trucks, exhaust sounds funny.

    When you did your bumper caps did you have any trouble getting the clip back in? Im about to order a set off of rock auto and do the mod myself. I have read its pretty easy but that clip is a PIA. Any tip or pearls would be great!

    When i did mine i held the clip with one hand behind the cap after setting the cap in place, and pushed the cap firmly with the other hand. It's kind of a PITA but its manageable. I have read some people leave the clip off without issues.

    Did you remove/pull up the black inner piece/step in order to get the caps off? I see like 50/50 people will remove the inner piece to lift up and get to the caps. Also, where did you get yours from?

    the arrows pointing left and right is where you can guide your fingers down and hold the clip while pressing the cap on. Dont forget to take the push pins out where the arrows are pointing up if you decide to "lift" the bumper step cover.

    Thanks for the reply and info TXTaco. I really appreciate it.
    Yeah, I had a V8 and I am wary of putting an exhaust/muffler that just doesn't sound right.
