It looks like that's a heated driveway. If so, should be a cakewalk.

4Low applies a lot of torque allowing the wheels to slip easier. In snow and ice you actually want very little torque applied to prevent slip, that is why Rwd cars with an automatic transmission have a snow button which starts the transmission in 2nd instead of first to limit the torque applied to prevent spinning.

True, but if the driveway has snow and ice on it, then it shouldn't be driven on period.

I'm saying that driveway specifically. That's flat out dangerous to attempt to drive up it if it's covered in snow and ice.

In snow territory hands down the best investment for safely driving in winter conditions!
All-weather and off road tires with large wide open lugs may chew through the snow but actual snow tires have different technology specifically designed for safely operating a vehicle in the snow. Snow tires are a great complement to 4wd!

No problem. I'm in NH with the same kind of terrain. Just don't slip the bag out of the clutch like most 3rd gen dorks. I've bogged the crap out of my rev gear with no issue. And that's freighted with gear.

My worst fear would be not making it to the top and helplessly sliding back down into traffic .

Yeah that'd be pretty terrifying. At the very least you'd be facing the correct way on your way to your death.

That would make far too much sense... Might as well ponder over it for a few months on a forum.

Yeah, and my driveway is half the distance but twice as steep. Also no issues.

In the pic you'll notice a section of fence missing. That was the the work of previous owner's Jeep one snowy day. If there's even a threat of snow one of our vehicles gets relegated to the street which, around here, is a much more generous 7° - 10° grade.

Hell, my tracked snow blower can't make it up on some days. We play it safe.
