I guess I envisioned a larger bookshelf lol

 

11.5" is deep enough for any book, it can go as tall or wide as needed.

 

It is freaking impossible to deal with a mother who can't make decisions or be an adult...

 

Also hard to deal with one who has to have everything her way, the magic is in the middle

 

you're right. always different ends of the spectrum. I'm just beyond tired of me and my sisters having to be adults to our mother because she can't make a good decision. It's hard to not just drop her entirely, but she's our mother so you have to love her and want the best for her..

 

I went to visit my grandparents over fall break because I wanted to see them, she turned that visit into us laying mulch, moving concrete statues, and making a butterfly garden in their yard.

 

ahh, that kinda mom. I would say I know that feeling but I don't because she's hardly ever been around.

 

She does that kind of stuff a LOT. I think it has to do with menopause

 

Be thankful your mothers are in good health. Trust me from my own experience, basically being a part time nurse and literally keeping your mother and grandmother alive strictly due to your care or knowledge of something is not the alternatives you want. Like you said though, Scotty, that's your mom and you do what you can/what it takes to take care of them.

 

I’ve had to do that with my dad before, his health isn’t great. I love my parents, but man they make it hard sometimes you know?

 

you're right man, I'm thankful everyone is healthy right now. we've had family members go through that type of stuff and have to tend to their every need and it's rough so I actually feel that pain. I'm sorry you're going through it now.

 

Unfortunately, this has been my life for 18 years. Mom had to medically retire early from teaching when I was in the 8th grade. Grandmother has been basically bed ridden for the past 10. But the years in between neither of them were well enough to care for themselves anyway. We have adjusted and adapted to what we've had to to make do. But, my parents always told me growing up that as many friends as you think you have, you will always have family and they will always be there. That statement has been true AF (twice boys) for us. Oh well, no worries here. That's just life and we aint doing nothing but living it.

Truck topic...put my red shackles on my bumper last night and realized very quickly they are about to be white instead.
