The Leafs are my team but I think the Hawks or Pens will win the Presidents Trophy. Outliers would be the Caps, Leafs, and Preds. I just don't see Quick keeping up a 943 save percentage. No one has done that in the modern NHL. He'll fall back to earth at some point.

 

He very well might. Most do eventually. We seem to be playing old kings hockey which is a breath of fresh air from last 2 seasons. We'll see how it goes. I've got high hopes after change of management.

I think must be hockeying wrong because this is the 5th stick I have exploded in the same spot.

 

Might be time to figure out where the kick point in your typical shot is and buy a stick with the proper setup to deal with that. I know when composite first hit the market that's why so many sticks broke in players hands, they were putting maximum stress on parts of the stick that weren't designed for it and almost no stress on the parts of the stick that were lol.

 

yea I'm sure that might have something to do with it, but I think the main issue is just life of a stick. I'm a D man so I'm always blocking/ deflecting shots. Lifting sticks, grinding in the corners, one timers, slap shots from the point ( usually high and over the net), etc. I think getting 3ish months out of a stick isn't that terrible with how much I'm playing 3 -4 times a week.

But man playing with a new twig is always nice. Just wish I didn't have to flip the tab.... I've got a Tacoma that needs long travel.

 

Yeah I usually play center. I've had the same Vapor for over a year now.

Nope lol. I like thin tape and almost no overlap so it wears bad. Basically tape it every game/scrimmage.
