Doesn't have to be that exact location, or that same setup. Its a good example though.

When you need the key, the magnet will still be there, but the box is long gone.

On my old Bronco I welded a hinged plate on my frame that locked with a cotter pin. I used it to travel through Utah with Colorado kind and also stashed my spare key in there.

I have seen people make a cylinder lock for the pin hole and hide their key in their hitch.

I locked my keys in for the first time and hopefully I won't do it again. Luckily I had a friend run home and grab my spare (he is a fellow Tacoma owner but not a TW member). I am considering hiding my key somewhere on the truck. Good idea, or bad idea?

The best places I could think of are under the bed liner hanging from a D-Ring or in the hitch receiver (I have a cap for it).

Any input is much appreciated.
