Premium Audio Upgrade for less than $250

What sub are you guys using ? Jbl system replacement 8" ?

 

At least one person has installed the kicker hideaway in this thread, which is an 8" sub. I'm going to try Rockville 10" powered sub.

 

Which if any powered subwoofer fit under a 3rd Gen front seat?

I had the seat out to measure for a pistol safe... Not a lot of room down there at all.

 

So glad to see these are back on sale so more folks can get in on the fun! Still loving the hell out of this nearly 2 months later and actually think about what I’m gonna queue up before I get in my truck each time. Just had a little one so truck time is my only loud jam time for awhile .

For anyone looking for the Kicker Subaru tweeters i just seen this posted in the "tweeter upgrade" thread

 

before i order this i just want to confirm that i'm supposed to be ordering the 6x9 for the front and the 6-3/4 for the rear?

also i think its showing that it doesn't come with the mounting brackets or wiring harness do i need those also?

 

Those are the correct sizes for the Kickers. If you order from Crutchfield they throw in the brackets and harnesses for free.

 

when i add it to my cart though its still giving me the option of adding those things as well. sort of strange.

 

It will show them as free with order

 

When you go to your cart they should show up.

 

I FINALLY installed the tweeters on Sunday. The difference is instantly noticeable.

The bad part, it really outshines the rest of the speakers. Lol

And they are on sale at Crutchfield too! Do they take PayPal? :-D

 

Think so - and yes, common theme. I thought I would get away with just the tweeters but then it just made me realize how truly terrible the other speakers were when I had wicked clear treble and muddy mid/bass backing it up... Cheap upgrade. You won't regret it

Is there a part number for those of you who broke or lost clips doing the install? Just thought I should buy a couple in advance before I try to tackle this install.

For sure, tweeters just made me realize how much lousier the rest of the speakers were and I caved hahha
