Yeah, it's just not for me. It's cool and all, but with my large dog it's a bit of a pain. He sleeps in the annex, which means every night no matter what, I have to set up the annex. That's just a hassle I don't want to deal with. I was hoping he'd be fine sleeping in the cab of the truck, but he just whines. A nice ground tent will be much easier for us.

 

are you still going to come camping in the winter?

 

Obviously!!! When it's just me and it's not suppose to rain, I'll likely just sleep in the bed of the truck. It's surprisingly comfy back there.

Sleep in the truck! Or just clear a spot of snow and pitch a tent there.

For me the appeal of sleeping in the bed is no set up. Just throw a sleeping pad back there and pass out! Luckily I've got a long bed, so I can have the tailgate and cap closed.

Camping in the snow is not a new thing . People have done it for thousands of years. There were no rtt's in the old timey days young fella.
