What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

I haul ass in my Mustang Cobra and all types of offroading in my Tacoma but am limited to mostly muddy trails where I'm from. I don't have any wheeling buddies lol, most of my friends don't understand my love for trucks and cars. Well I got one buddy with a F150 but its all stock (hoping he changes that soon). Plan is relentless sliders with kickouts, all pro front and rear tube bumpers, and either purchase or build skids for the whole underside. Gonna take some time to get where I want to but it'll be worth it.

 

Soon. mounted the 32inch light bar behind the valance today.

It's synthetic rope. I believe it's 67lbs all together

This. Both my 2000 and my Dad's 1996 have this little clip missing on both doors, which makes that upper trim piece rattle bad. Curious if Toyota makes an actual replacement. If not, guess I'll have to retrofit something else to work.

 

Thanks been going back and forth for a few months between this and a warn. Finally pulled the trigger. Hope I don't regret it. It has high reviews tho so I'm not too worried

 

Does it really let them rattle a bunch? I’m missing both sides and I guess I’ve never really noticed it. You’re making me wonder if that would quiet my cab down a little ha.

 

Maybe not a ton, but my driver's door trim definitely rattles a bit and I can't help but think that having that clip would help things. Then again, another clip could be broken somewhere in the door causing the rattle too.

 

I know my doors rattled a bunch when I didn’t get the clips around the edge of the door panel that hold it to the door frame.
I’ll try a couple clips tomorrow and see if it helps.

 

Was just thinking that might be my problem too. I know the PO took the door panels off the replace the speakers, maybe he didn't get all the clips in. But I'd still like to have that little clip though, been driving my OCD insane haha.

Thats for an oak/tan color, but I think the blue / gray (early tacoma) should be p/n 90467-07041b0
