Corbeau Seats... For a Big Ol' Boy?

I'll try to keep it simple. I'm a big boy at 6'3" tall & 300lbs.

I want a seat that will hold up to the abuse of wheeling (wash-board roads and such) with my weight but still keep me comfy (within reason of course). One that hold me in place would be beneficial of course.

PLUS

Be comfy for daily driving and that annoying stop-and-go rush hour traffic.

Would Corbeau fit the bill here? I'm comparing the GTS-II with the CR1. The CR1 comes in a "wide" version... which I think may be necessary.

And then... if anybody has input on it. Should I get that "shaved base" option (being 6'3" tall)?

That's a tall order, the width might be a problem. I have LG1 and they actually sit 2" lower and I got an inch or 2 more leg room, but the bolster squeeze you in which I like, but I'm 6,1" 200 pounds,
But the LG1 seats are not suspension seats, but LOVE THEM AND THE LOOK

 

Did you get the 'wide' version of the LG1?

You should find a dealer and go test the sears out what ever seats u pick

 

Would a dealer order them in just so a customer could test them out? I don't know of any dealers in town that would stock those normally.

 

The seats I got from the 4x4 shop had them in stock so I was able to see and sit in them, might be a tall order but you will know what your getting

 

I like the Corbeau LG1 seats in your truck, 1997tacomav6. What color are your seats? Is your interior the stock tan brown that is OEM?

 

Seats are black and fantastic, my interior is blue, only short coming is the passenger bolster on the lower seat section
on the driver side by the door is very tall and will get squished down because you crawl over it each time you get in and out.
The fit is perfect, like a glove, no console issues or door issues of touching them.
Sliders work perfect to, plug and play

 

in the event the corbeaus dont work out for you, the sparco r100 is also a great wide big seat for the big ol tall heavy butts

 

So im a similar size to the op but im a little taller. Dose any know of a seat that doesn't have the upper shouler bolster/wing ? Most of those are supper uncomfortable if your shoulders are wide. Riding around with your shoulders rolled forward sucks .

 

Best idea is go to a salvage yard and try out seats in wrecked car that might fit or a dealer that has seats you can try,
