45 hour work week, 36-48 hours at volunteer firehouse a week, and a girlfriend, leaves little free time :pout:

Doesn't help that the closest place to legally offroad is about 1.5 hours away

I was monitoring your retreat to stockness from afar  And secretly thinking about it myself...

But some of my mods are irreversible

Sliders can be cut :) not that i would want to see you go back to stock. The fenders definitely would look strange if you pulled the hc rear off.

Matt you can get a wrx and along with @buyobuyo can make everyone else want one too. But then again, you already have go fast vehicles.

I hope the insurance is not too high for him. In his case, better hope the hatchback returns

I would love to get some nicer car like a WRX (or an Audi A4/S4 ), but honestly I would want either a Civic or a Corolla/Camry. I really dislike driving my truck for long periods of time and I miss a DD that doesn't make so much noise and get 14 MPG. My GF has a 05 Accord and her dad has a ~09 Civic and they are just simple and nice to drive. Maintenance is usually super easy on Honda's and Toyota's too.

That, or a simple SUV (would love a T4R, but $$$...) that has a waterproof trunk and everything that a truck doesn't really offer. Also wouldn't mind a stock Tacoma too, and just do some simple "mods" to make the interior and some other things my own, like nice AT tires and a grille or something.

I'm rambling :annoyed: I have way too many interests for the money and time that I currently have...

I would personally skip the audi route. Too much money when they break. Nice cars though. A stock wrx without upgraded exhaust is pretty mild sound wise. Grumbles a bit when you get on it, but mild at cruising speeds. And awd, in case of freak snowstorms in July or something :)
I had a camry before the taco and loved it. 99 V6 5 speed in green. I do like the 2018 camrys, but again, wanted awd as this will be my only vehicle.

The German cars are a pain to work on, let me tell ya. Plus I don't think I'll ever have enough money to afford one new.

All this is just thinking out loud, I can't afford to change vehicles right now anyway, so just have to be grateful that I have a reliable vehicle that gets me where I need to go, and is paid off :)

Put in some extra tie down rings the other day and cut the bed mat for access.

Gotta do oil change and rotation here in a couple hundred miles. Looking forward to using the Fumoto valve I put in at the last oil change, don't need any tools to do an oil change now! I stocked up on oil a while ago and have the 10 pack of OEM filters so should be ready to go, just gotta wait for a slow day in the shop so I can do it. Perks of being the service manager at a car shop...

The fumoto rocks. You will love it. I had the one with the nipple, and just ran some of the clear tubing down into a gallon milk jug. Didn't even need my drain pan anymore, except for diffs, tcase, and transmission.

Just dont let the container overflow. The fumoto drains fairly slow compared to the bolt, so I had time to remove the oil filter and never had it overflow.
