Well today on the way home I was cruising down a two lane road going about 35 in a 35. There was a parking lot for a national park that dumps out in to the road. Well as I was approaching it on my right a camry stopped at the stop sign then trying to turn left pulled out into my lane, then stopped. I guess he thought he could turn left but there was a lot of on coming traffic so he must have figured it out... in my lane. At this point I was maybe 30 feet away. I slammed on brakes, but I probably hit him going 25-30 ish I really wasn't focusing on that. When I hit him my air bags didnt deploy, my seat belts didnt lock up, I didnt feel a thing. I just heard the massive crash and had a massive... oh shit moment.

Everyone was ok, well he cut his arm but not to bad but I am glad it wasn't worse.

Well I have to go with out my truck for a few weeks now and the toyota people said about 10k in damage. But I might just put on a All pro bumper(with insurance money) and a few other parts... all with the insurance money.

Heres the only picture I have just cause my iphone died on my after the collision.

LOVE the electrical tape fix! I use it for everything. Doesn't look too terrible at all!

Yeah I had to E-tape my bumper and flare up and off my tire to get it over to the dealership.

That sucks man, glad everyone is ok that's what's important. Hopefully the douche bag that pulled out and stopped in front of you learned a valuable lesson without getting seriously hurt... next time they might not be so lucky.

Yeah, I think I can buff the rest out. Then give it a good waxing and it should be fine.

He did, then the wife tried to tell me that it was my fault and blah blah blah... i just said look, YOUR car is in MY lane and your husband just signed the ticket so if you really want to argue lets get the cops and some witnesses. She later came and apologized to me.

But were all good now, no one was hurt to bad so thats all that matters.

grill, lights, bull bar, rims, tires,
that bull bar might have saved your truck some...think so? maybe that's why the airbag didn't go off.

The 3 inch tubing on it is flat. It is also canted to the right. The part of the bumper behind it is kinda ok but it just pushed it all into it. I hit him more with the corner of it, but yes I think it did its job.

Doncha mean, I hope HIS insurance company takes care of you?

Cuz it sounds like he's at fault, not you.

    Still a day-ruiner though.

Yeah he has state farm and so far they have been good. I dont have any doubts but I am going to keep a tight watch over the whole process.

I have to make some more calls tomorrow and get everything sorted out for my truck to start getting repaired.

Today defiantly did suck but I am not to mad about it or anything, I figured it would go better if I went in this whole thing with a good attitude.

Does any one know about the depreciated value? Should I find out what my truck WAS worth then find out what it WILL be worth after repairs then bring that to the other insurance company?
