I'm sure we can work something out to get it done down here. Never replaced a cv myself but wouldnt mind helping and seeing the process for when I'll eventually need to do it.

Yea it's not bad, just popping the tulip out of the diff can be a pain as it has an inner retaining clip that has to be popped to get the tulip free. Don't know if it helps, but currently my cv is missing the shaft so that the diff is plugged up with the old tulip and the outer end joint of the cv is keeping the wheel bearing in alignment and proper torque.

 

I've helped replace CV's before and can supervise. Its pretty easy. Biggest problem was getting the dust cap off. We've been talking about a mod day and a few of us need to do the ECGS bushing, which also requires pulling a CV.

 

Hey man I'm down to help in anyway that I can. Dust cap has a few love marks in it so that shouldn't be a problem!

Rude.... going to do the 295/70/17s more than likely, don't want to get too crazy with 35s honestly.

But then again... are you needing cvs for your truck or cvs for the R/C car that you purchase.

For the truck. My original goal was having this all done by Jambo 18, still on track for that so im not in that big of a hurry.

Save yourself the trouble of wanting to sell your tires a second or third time and just go 35's! Your moneys gonna get taken up soon with the baby so spend all you can get away with now.

315/70/17 is like a 34.4" or so.... 295/70 is like a 33.3"

Hahaha, and yea, I know on the whole selling tires a second time aspect, I just like the 295/70/17. I am trying to spend all I can get away with right now honestly....

So for everyone that says that they are running 35s and their tire size is 315/70/17 or 315/75/16... I am going to be like... don't you mean 34.4s or 34.6s?
