2-4 weeks depending how I ration it

 

I spend about 100$ every 2 weeks on groceries myself...

 

WTF! I'm doing it wrong. The wife and I spend 125-150 a week

 

we typically spend $80-$100 for 2 weeks worth of groceries, but again we don't buy meat other than sammich and maybe some chicken (especially if we find the 10 lb bag of leg quarters for 29-39 cents per pound)

 

600-700 a month here

 

I’ll show you one of the pizzas I got when I get home in a couple minutes, it’s over 2 lbs. I only got one that big

 

just depends on what you buy, I eat LOTS of chicken and vegetables.

 

you pay for convenience, so prepackaged foods are going to be exponentially more expensive than individual ingredients, but if time is an issue (which it shouldn't be if you own a crock pot) then you have to do what you have to do

 

true to an extent. I have found these new crockpot meals at walmart, prepackaged. like a pot roast and vegetables for 11$. then they have an individual pot roast directly beside them for...10$. ?????? really good too I've had a few of them now.

 

My wife cooks, no prepackaged. We are bad about eating leftover though.

well I was mainly talking about like frozen dinners, boxed meals, deli foods etc.

 

yeah I know, you are correct for like 99% of items out there lol. frozen pizzas can be obtained for 1$ and certain meals like those crockpot ones are cheaper than buying all the ingredients, otherwise it's more expensive to pay for convenience as you said.
