I like the Leer 100XR so far. Seems solid to me. I don't have anything to compare it to though.

I have a V-Series. While it works well for me, and looks nice (aesthetically, relative to the truck lines) ... the quality is not good.

    - Several sheet metal screws around the perimeter of the front window have fallen out, only to reveal they were horribly stripped from the factory. My one dog cut his nose pretty bad on the burrs, too ... pissed me off.

    - There were also a few dings on the windoors that I had to touch up upon delivery, no big deal here I guess.

    - The fiberglass piece that covers the tailgate also rubbed some paint off, so I had to sand that down. I'm yet to fix the paint blemish, but I have been keeping a close eye on it.

ARE (V series/overland/CX/MX), and LEER 100/180 look the best on the truck IMO. I'm only talking shells with windoors here, because they are a must in my world.

I probably would have gone snugtop for the better quality, but the window options I needed did not work with the truck aesthetic at all. I just couldn't live with that, so off they went from my list of options.

Tough question to answer here. I would still probably get ARE (definitely the MX if I could do it over again), but I would go over the finish a bit closer next time. That being said, I think the snugtop shells are the better quality. Too many people complaining about leaks with the LEER windoors, which nixed them from my list as well. My windoors have held up great ... 0 leaks on that front so far.

Since I have a lot of Yakima Rack mounts (bike, kayak, canoe..) I leaned towards ARE caps. Leer uses the Thule system. After 2 years I'm still happy with my MX.

I went with leer ultimately because I wanted a more reinforced camper shell. I got the 100rcc, which is the 100xr but can hold 500 pounds instead of the 220 I believe. For ARE to get it reinforced they used metal bars inside and you couldn’t get the fold down window so that was a deal breaker for me because it would be a pain in the butt to clean those windows. Out the door I paid $2,300 because I got every option you could get on it (2xwindoors, fold down window, carpet, led bar, led light switch, fishing rod holder, power outlets, and yakama rails).

Disregard the savage beast in the back.

I went with the ARE CX. My decision came down a lot to the fitment of the cap - I really like the way the ARE caps fit over LEER, Snugtop, etc. Something just seems off about their designs. I got the pet screens, carpeted roof interior, fold down slider front window, and roof rack rails for just under 2k.

What did the Windoor option run you? I’ve been looking at getting the Leer 100rcc with them, but was quoted 560 for them which would put me at almost 2,700 OTD

I just checked this out last week. The "windoor" is available for the short beds as solid glass. What is not available is the "windoor" model that has a sliding glass opening in addition to opening out and up.

I have had two ARE V series shells and had no issues at all. Last week I ordered the Overland series rather than the V series as it is reinforced and has some black trim that I think will look good with my Quicksand Taco. It was only $200 more than the V series.

It is spot on! You can’t tell a difference. Looks like they were painted at the same time.

That sounds about right. My shell came out to 2700 OTD with all the bells and whistles.
